Grenadine

Grenadine is a syrup widely used in cocktail preparation. The name comes from the French word grenade (pomegranate), as originally Grenadine was made from pomegranate juice and sugar syrup. Now, in the preparation of this syrup, other juices are used - for example, blackcurrant juice.
