Pisang Ambon

Pisang Ambon is a brand of Dutch liquor, produced, distributed and sold by Lucas Bols House. The drink has a predominant banana aroma, with additional tropical fruit notes. It has a distinctive bright green color.

The drink is based on the recipe of an old Indonesian liquor. Pisang means banana in Malay/Indonesian. Ambon is the name of an Indonesian island, which was once a Dutch colony. Pisang Ambon is the Indonesian name for the Gros Michel banana variety.

Recently, a purple version called Pisang Ambon Guaraná Lime was released.
