Riga Balsam

A dark, strong balsam (45% proof) with a rich and slightly bitter-sweet taste, produced in Latvia. As an alcoholic beverage, Riga Balsam is classified as a bitter. Its taste is enhanced by various natural additives, including lime blossom, birch buds, raspberry, cranberry, ginger root. Riga Balsam is bottled in ceramic bottles that protect the content from sunlight and drastic temperature fluctuations. Black Riga Balsam was known in Europe as early as 1752. The balsam is best served in cocktails, perfectly matching both as a classic balsam, and blackcurrant, with ice cream, with tea and coffee.

For the past few years, mixology contests have been held all over the world by the Riga Black brand, with the best bartenders participating in these competitions both in their countries and worldwide.
