Stinger

In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour brandy and liqueur. Stir and filter through a strainer into a serving glass.

The 'Stinger' cocktail is known to alcohol connoisseurs from the first decades of the twentieth century, as far as we can tell from the bartender's book released by Tom Bullock in 1917. The book features two versions of this drink: 'white' and 'green' Stinger.
