Pour freshly squeezed orange juice into a champagne glass.
Carefully pour sparkling wine.

Optionally, you can decorate with a spiral of orange peel.
It is believed that the "Mimosa" cocktail was created in 1925 in the bar of the Ritz hotel in Paris and got its name in honor of the tropical blooming shrub of the southern latitudes.
There is also an alternative version which says that the cocktail was invented by the bartender of the London club "Buck's" (engl. Buck's Club), McGarry, in 1921.
The cocktail is also known under the name "Buck's fizz".
