The history of the creation of the “French Connection” cocktail has gaps and much uncertainty. Some sources assert that the cocktail is directly related to the eponymous book by Robin Moore “French Connection”, first published in 1969, and on the basis of which, just 2 years later (in 1971), the eponymous film was made, which received a huge pile of awards. Other sources suggest that a mixture of French cognac and expensive Amaretto liqueur (in the mid-20th century), appeared in the circles of the wealthy a decade earlier.
